Zi Ying's camp reflection

This year’s training camp was my very first camp and it was heard to be more relaxing than the previous years’ due to the unexpected bad weather. I did enjoy the camp but I was still very tired after the camp because I didn’t have enough sleep.
The first night, I was sleeping just beside the door. Unfortunately, there was a hole at the door. For the whole night, I couldn’t sleep at all not because of the cold wind but because of the ants that kept on biting me! It was painful and not itchy!!! I was killing the ants continuously and was definitely a professional ant-killer. (Sorry, a guide should be kind to all living things.) Hope they won’t come and find me for revenge.

The second night, we slept quite late after the night game. So despite been frightened by the game, I still fell asleep very fast and really had a good rest for just a few hours. (My petrol was doing cook duty the next day and had to wake up early.) Thankfully, the seniors didn’t wake us up to do sentry duty.

To me, the highlight of the camp is the NIGHT GAME. Night walk was quite ok and we actually got to see the beautiful stars. However, the night game was extremely scary that I didn’t dare to look at some of the crime scenes. Throughout the game, I tried not to lift up my head and look around to prevent myself from seeing the unnecessary stuff. It is indeed a good experience for me but I don’t think I will take part in the night game again. I admit that I am timid so don’t ever try to scare me, I afraid that my heart can’t take it.

I like my patrol, dare to dare (D2D). For these three days, we had gone through a lot of things together. We are very united that we took part in all the activities and enjoyed ourselves. The most important part is that we are the best patrol! I think this is due to everyone’s hard work and cooperation. We are strong and we are brave coz we DARE TO DARE! I strongly believe that we will still dare to dare in the future!
