See Peng's Reflection

Yo. Venture for Challenge--This year's training [[Excuse me..this is TRAINING camp ok..NOT your typical leisure camp!]] camp theme.I must say..it's different going there as a leader than when i was a trainee. Though it was raining most of the time at camp, i thought that it brought out the effectiveness of the patrols. Tent doors closed, ponchos brought out, everything was done very quickly. If this isn't blessing in disguise, what could it possibly be? However, many games that were planned could not be played and i thought it was a pity for the trainees because the leaders have planned many exciting games for you! Staying indoors was yet another thing as you can witness how your leaders went the extra mile planning for wet weather program as well..otherwise..you all would be staying indoors doing nothing..so please thank them for their effort and do take note sec 3s(:

During times when it wasn't raining, i thought that the trainees could be more efficient. When it is raining, you girls were great. However, when it is bright and sunny, ALL the more you should be even quicker with your actions so we can move on to the next activity! Anyway, i felt that outdoor cooking was okay except for the fact the girls could have done better with the preparing of the food- especially the chicken. Goodness, if you girls have the time to NAME the chicken you're handling, it doesn't make any sense that you don't have enough time to cook the chicken. Alot of time is wasted on just preparing the chicken which i felt was unnecessary. However, some of the food that the trainees prepared were not bad, and the chickens were well-cooked too. [[There were even names for them.lol.]] Good job!

Talking about cooking, it was really sad that because of the rain, the trainees could not experience what it was like cooking in the kitchen shelter. Using charcoal wood to cook rice, and how it feels like to cook their meals on the gadgets they maked. I pray that they would have the chance next year without the frequent visits from the rain:D Oh ya, i also wanna congratulate the cooks. I sincerely felt that the food they prepared alongside with Jieling was very delicious(: There was also more soup in the green bean soup that was prepared too xD That aside, night game was another experience for me because truthfully, i am afraid of the dark..so staying in the toilet was a double challenge for me okay.[[Though lirong was there..i was still scared-_-"']] We managed to scare the girls which we succeeded.lol..but backing out of the game is not being fair to the leaders who have put in so much effort to make this an unforgettable game for you. I dont just say this for the sake of saying it but because i have witnessed it with my very own eyes. Though disappointing, i hoped the rest who have stayed through the scares and continued with the game have enjoyed youselves greatly!

Overall, I thought that the efficiency and sense of urgency of the trainees could be further improved and also hope that more running, less walking would be seen in the next training camp. For me, i enjoyed it very much..really. It is an experience that i cannot exchange for anything else. You girls were tired, so were the leaders...so it's fair right?! What you went through then, they have also went through it.. and they went through it together with you this time round. Appreciate them and well done to you girls once again! Amidst all the cuts, splinters and mosquito bites, i believe that this training camp was a success and I hope that you girls would remember this camp and be even more prepared for the next!

Yours in guiding
See peng
