Yujia's Camp Reflection

the training camp was much much more slacker than the training camps before as told by the seniors...and plus it rained, so there wasn't much training...

i was supposed to be overcoming my fears for this camp...although i still didn't overcome much fears in the end since i didn't dare to join the nightgame and backed out halfway through..and i'm terribly sorry to my patrol and the rest of the campers about this ><>
the campfire was nice even though it was indoors. the performances by other patrols were nice and we could also sing and do cheers along the way for the campfire.the MCs were very good too (:

through this camp i learnt to do things faster and learnt to cherish my families and friends.i learnt perserverance despite the number of times we had to pitch our tent again and again.i learnt that how friends could help each other when others need them to.i learnt the encouragement not to give up easily despite wanting to go home or give up.i feel angry for myself not being a good help to my patrol and others..even though they didn't say anything about it...but i hope that i will be able to overcome my fears and be of some help to others in the next camp!

Dear Yujia,
thank you for your prompt reflection of the camp. you have shown yourself to be outstandin. your effort was truly witnessed and appreciated. even when you were to 'take on' the pail of coloured water for the game, you took it in good spirit and that's what a good sport is all about. there were times when you were asked to help your patrol and you did without any complaint, and that was the whole great attitude for the camp. i'm glad you saw for yourself when a good leader (Chu Yun) comes about and do learn from her. next year, you will be of such a help to your fellow juniors. i sincerely hope that you will be able to overcome whatever fear that you may have and go home next year with even greater sense of satisfaction. (i think you should be proud of yourself that you made it through this camp alr!) polished up your skills and it will definitely come in handy in time to come. meanwhile, do a good job for campfire 2007 and look forward to the next camp!

yours in guiding,
huixin
