The campfire this year wasn't exactly a fabulous one, but it wasn't too bad either. Whether it is because of the lack of time or the lack of enthusiasm, it is time to reflect on them, realise on our mistakes and do a better job next year.

For fire committee, I felt that it was pretty well done. The mace thing was nice though there were a few dents on it. The fire on that day was alright but I felt that the patrol did not guard the fire too well. Reminders were often given before they took action. The patrol should have taken their own initiative to guard the fire and feed the fire.

For structure, the design was cool and done up quite neatly. But the patrol should have touch up on everything before the campfire day itself and not leave it to the last minute. But overall structure was nice.

Reception and Refreshment was good. The patrol was efficient but could have been more cooperative with their PL in looking after the refreshment table. For the reception table, they reused the purple cloth to decorate the table. This helped save some money which can be use for other necessary items. For refreshment, the food was okay but the preparation of the drinks was quite messy. The table was presentable and they were fortunate to have an extra table, already made, to put their drinks on top of. And of course, more cups and less plates the next time.

P and P could have put in more effort in making their programme booklet. I feel that their patrol should work together and not do the booklet as an individual thing. They should have check the printed papers and make sure that there was no mistake before pasting and gluing them so that they would not have to extra work like printing the papers all over again.

Backdrop was alright other than the fact that it was a bit small and I thought the painting was quite nice. The patrol should have cut more V-shape holes on them before putting them up otherwise it would be quite hard to do so after it is being put up.

Gateway looked quite good. I didn't have the chance to walk through it though. However, I thought that the cloth should have been bought and sewn earlier so that the patrol wouldn't have to rush through with the painting and can have more time trying out the gateway.

Souvenir was very nice at first. But when the pink pen started to smudge, it didn't look as impressive. The patrol should have try out the pen first before using it. Luckily, the pen did not smudge that much so it was ok. I thought that the different ideas for the souvenirs were quite creative. Yeah.

As for the campfire, it would have been better if all of us were willing to be more high. I thought the sec 2 and sec 3 dance was quite 'WOW!'. Yup. Even though the dancers met with lots of problems before the campfire day, it turned out well.

Yeah. So everyone, give yourself a pat on your shoulder for a job well done. =))
